ReSharper Auto-Inserts brackets on "else"

This question is similar to this: Stop VS 2010 from automatically creating braces after the keyword else else But I cannot comment there, and it has not really been resolved.

Basically, ReSharper inserts {} when you press enter after "else".

I tried everything and even changed the ReSharper option "Braces in the if-else expression" to "Delete curly braces". Doing nothing. Disabled both options in the section “Brackets and brackets” in “Behavior of the editor” - nothing.

The solution for the question above is talking about disabling autocomplete. I did not find an opportunity to do this.

I am using VS 2013 and ReSharper 6.0.20141219.

Open the Reharper template explorer (Resharper-> Templates Explorer ...), select the C # area and then deselect the 'else' template.

(This used Resharper 8.2.3 and Visual Studio 2013)

I cannot comment on the Piers Myers answer , so I am inserting a new answer.

Reharper Template Explorer can also be found under Restarper-> Tools-> Template Explorer ...

Disabling the template elseworks for me (ReSharper Ultimate 2017.3 on VS 2017).
