Excel: select a whole column by date

I made my own Gantt chart in Excel, which is shown in this figure:

I would like to highlight the entire column (or until the last action) depending on the date, as shown in the figure. I figured out how to select one cell depending on the date, but not the whole column.

I don’t know how to do this so as not to enter a date in the entire column, but I thought there would be something more efficient if conditional formatting is used.
