Crystal Reports only shows a barcode locally

I am using Crystal Reports to display a .rpt file on an asp.net page.

When I run both on the server, CR preview on development software and WebPage (IE), where CR viewer is built in, reports show a barcode and can be printed.

(barcode is a function Bar128AB( *BarTextIn*, *Subset* ))

BUT , when I launch it from another computer or from another browser (Firefox, Chrome) on the same server , the barcode shows (BarTextIn) from the Bar128AB function, and not the result (final barcode) of the function.

The font used to represent the barcode is Code 128AB HR, which has limited embeddability, but I do not mind exporting it to PDF, just view and print it.

  • How can I fix it?
  • How do other browsers (Firefox, Chrome) on the server display the barcode correctly?
  • How can another computer display the barcode correctly?

You need to install a couple of packages in order to correctly display the barcode.

  • Install the latest crystal reporting package
  • Install this patch for a font with fsType 0 to achieve the installation.
