I am having a problem with voip disconnect notifications that sometimes do not go to the application delegate, and I want to keep track of where the problem is.
I turned on recording on the device as described in Appleโs technical note:
https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/technotes/tn2265/_index.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/DTS40010376-CH1-TNTAG23
I sent some push notifications (which arrived) to check the logs, but there are no logs containing push notification information in
/Users/[username]/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<devicename>/PersistentConnection/
.. the folder containing the identifier of my application is nothing with apsd(I tried both the searchlight and the search files manually).
I see that the documentation was last updated 2014-10-01, after the release of iOS 8, and I think it is out of date? I see a small note:
Note. On iOS 6.x, empty logs will not be written to the deviceโs console. They are available only when the device is synchronized with iTunes (r. 12575868).
Does this also apply to iOS 7 and 8?
What files should I watch with (there are many files updated in the PersistenConnection folder every time I connect the device via cable)?
What am I doing wrong? Is there a more convenient / automatic tool for collecting magazines of this type?
