Difference between A.heapsize and A.length for array A with an example

Question

Can someone explain the difference between A.heapsize and A.length for array A with an example.

Found a related thread ( What is the difference between A.length and A.heap-size? ), But could not get the difference, this difference is specific to sorting the heap, or generally to all heaps.
