Does anyone use Babel / 6-to-5 in a Rails app?

Question

The benefits of using ES6 for the Rails interface are very attractive.

I created a topic branch in our Rails application that uses babel to migrate ES6 to ES5 through the asset pipeline. It works well, but, as always, I'm tired of technical debt. Does anyone have good / bad reports on the use of such a system in production?
