Cancel Cb in tmux

In emacs, Cg cancels any command that is started. Is there a similar solution in tmux for after pressing Ctrl-b? I thought about exploring it by pressing a lot of keys, but that would only worsen it.

You can use any key that is not tied to anything. From what I see on the man page Ctrl-g, in fact * is not * attached to anything (in normal mode), so you can use it after Ctrl-b.

If you want to explicitly bind this functionality noopto a key Ctrl-g, you can do this by putting something like this in tmux.conf:

bind C-g run 'true'
