Kibana 4 Metric Visualization Shows The Latest Value

I am new to Kibana and Elastic Search, and I ran into this problem:

My ES contains (among other things) data containing the current value of one custom performance counter, and I would like my panel to display this value, for example, as a large number, so I tried using the Metric visualization, but I don’t know how to show only last value. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank.

We had a similar problem for our use case. We found two ways to handle this:

  • , Kibana n , .
  • , , "IsLatest" , "IsLatest" : true , , , ElasticSearch , "IsLatest" false.
