Why does Arabic text sometimes break into two lines?

I have seen this strange problem several times. For some reason, in Chrome, Arabic text is sometimes split into two lines in the middle of a word. For example, this URL: http://aitnews.com/?p=168010

Here's what it looks like in Chrome: Chrome Screenshot

Here's how it should be (Firefox): Firefox screenshots

I have no idea why this is happening. I think this is solvable with help overflow, but I would like to know the reason, if possible.

Update: It seems that the problem is related to word-wrap: break-word;in my css. Removing this line solved the problem. I'm still curious to know the reason.
