I am trying to use the google url shortener API using PHP:

But I get the following error message:

I checked the following:
- That referents are installed (both http and https)
- That the API console logs all requests, but, unfortunately, as "client errors" and not as "success"
The script is run whenever the user visits the page.
I really appreciate any advice that helps me overcome this unpleasant problem. It seems I have not found any solution "there."
