Google Places Autocomplete plugin not working in Firefox android

We use the google plugin places-autocompleteon our website.

Recently, we have received several complaints from visitors to our site that this plugin does not work in the Android version of Firefox. However, it works great on the desktop version of Firefox.

  • Trying to enter a zip code in the "Enter location" input field

You will observe the following 2 problems -

  • Google Autocomplete should show suggestions when you start entering a zip code. But this does not happen until one of the types spaceor ,after a 5-digit zip code.
  • When sentences appear (after entering spaceor ,), you cannot select the first sentence. When you click on it, the cursor will return to the search input. However, you can choose the second or third sentence.

Problem number 2 is extremely annoying and frustrating to the user. We have received several complaints about this.

I confirmed this in Firefox version 36.0.2 on the Samsung S4 running Android 4.4.2.

How can this be solved?

Work on the second problem is to give the first auto-complete suggestion to the top so that the user can click on it. Its not very, but its functionality.
