What does the "stack" do in CMS Bolt?

I use Bolt.cm, and when editing a page or post there is a section on the right called the "stack". The Bolt website says:

Our Stack features contain your most recently downloaded files and allow you to access them as conveniently as possible. Thus, there is no more searching and no double loading.

But what is it really? I uploaded some images and they are shown on the stack, but I cannot click or double-click them, and dragging them into the editor inserts a thumbnail, not the actual image.

The only thing I see to add images is to click on the image editor button, then “browse the server” and find it that way. So what is the point of the stack?

Good question, I don't think the Stack is documented anywhere.

I also neglected Stack for some time, but recently I had to refer to the download (pdf) in the Wysiwyg field. First I push them onto the stack, and then I can link them using a button (chain symbol).

But there are probably other cases that I still don't know about. Is anyone
