AWS now has a bunch of services, so I look at it more closely.
I am looking for a centralized service where I can post user data and verify its authenticity and protect various web applications, iphone applications using my own logins and social inputs such as Twitter / Google / Facebook.
An example stream would be that I have several sites encoded in PHP and you want users to visit these sites. But only users who have access. These user data, logins, permissions, etc. Must be located somewhere centrally and as much as possible headache.
Instead of creating your own platform for this, which will support all authentication and user management, it would be nice if it were taken care of.
Does AWS have a service for this?
IAM seems to deal only with AWS access.
Notice that I'm talking not only about mobile applications, but also about websites.
I see that there is a new service called Cognito, is that what I am looking specifically for in this case?
