Bluetooth 4.2 has a great feature that defines how to get Bluetooth LE pairing information from Bluetooth BR / EDR pairing information and vice versa. When the device uses both types of vehicles, the use of this new function will avoid the need to pair each vehicle separately. Instead, the user simply needs to pair one of the two, which will automatically pair the other as well.
iOS 8.2 added support (parts) of Bluetooth 4.2.
Is the function BT 4.2 “Generation / Derivation of Cross-Transport Keys” supported by iOS 8.2?
