Can anyone point out any guides / documentation on how elements should be placed in the view controller, which will appear as a popover so that the components are properly placed with auto-layout?
In particular: I work in Xcode 8.3 with the new "Present as Popover" segue, with the new "universal" storyboards. I am adding a view controller, and then go to that view controller. When it is displayed, I see that approximately in the upper left quadrant of the view controller it is displayed as a popover, but apparently there is no automatic layout, as far as I can see, to accommodate several different sizes of iPad popover against the “full-screen” behavior on iPhone of different sizes - so depending on the device, a slightly different section of the view controller is seen.
I assume that this is actually not the way things should work, and the whole point of the universal popper segue is to properly fit things to the size of the popover using an automatic layout? So can anyone shed some light on what I'm doing wrong, or how should pop-ups work in relation to auto-layout?
