Codeigniter using foreach

Question

I am using Codeigniter in Apache xampp setup and trying to use foreach in the view for the first time and I just can't get it to work.

My controller code:

class Test extends CI_Controller {

        public function index($page = 'testv')
    {
            if ( ! file_exists(APPPATH.'/views/'.$page.'.php'))
            {
                show_404();
            }
                $this->load->model('testm');
                $data['news'] = $this->testm->get_news();

                $this->load->view('headder');
                $this->load->view($page, $data);
                $this->load->view('footer');
    }
}

My model:

But the text from my database appears at the top of the page outside the header, so I know that the database is connecting and data is being collected from it. Can someone tell me where I am going wrong?

you just have a problem in your function foreach loop model just replace it with:

$query = $this->db->query('SELECT id, date, text FROM news');
$result = $query->result_array();
return $result;
