I have a problem with validating a data mask.

<strike><input type="text" data-mask="a-99999999-9"></strike>

I need you when "a" becomes available only to the letters "WAYPG".

The JQuery Mask plugin does not recognize the expression “a” in the mask expression, it supports “A”. This will work:

<strike><input type="text" data-mask="A-99999999-9"></strike>

If you want the first letter to be only V or E or J or P or G, you must call the mask constructor in javascript, as shown below:

$("#idOfTextInput").mask("v-9999999-9",{translation: {'v':{pattern:/[VEJPG]/}}});
