For my Wix project, I collect 4 directories through pre-assembly of the visual studio, which will result in about 160 MB of data and about 220 files, but the build process took a very long time.
How can I speed up this process? I have one built-in media.cab file in which all files will be stored. Is this the size or number of files that will slow down the process? Or is it harvesting with a heat tool in a pre-harvest event? Would it be faster with the HeatDirectory element?
Has anyone done some experience accelerating this?
