How is the Microsoft iOS IslandWood bridge implemented?

Recently announced a new project, Project Islandwood , because it allows you to use Objective-C code written for iOS, which will be reassigned to the Universal Windows application.

I could not find any information on the details, therefore:

  • Has Microsoft effectively implemented the iOS subsystem in Windows 10?
  • Is it built on existing software (for example, in the old OpenStep source code) or built from scratch?
  • Have all the different frameworks of iOS been introduced - Core Data, Core Text, Core Graphics, OpenGl, etc.?
