Jade - Using --watch does not cause an update from include

Question

I have a simple project I'm trying to work with.

doctype html
html(lang="en")
  include ./inc/head.jade

body
  include ./inc/various.jade
  include ./inc/types.jade
  include ./inc/of.jade
  include ./inc/things.jade

using this command to view jade -w index.jade

I expect that any change to 'things.jade' will cause an upgrade to index.jade. Is not. What am I missing? I do not want to call the watch command every time I need an update on index.jade.

Desired Workflow:

save change in things.jade > triggers refresh to index.jade

Current issue:

save change in things.jade > switch to terminal > control+c to 
kill the watch on index.jade > jade -w index.html

I just saw your question now, I hope you fixed it. It seems you need ' liveReload ' to keep track of the changes when saving the file, and then restart the browser.
