TCPDF for PHP creates an empty PDF when a special (slovic) character is used

I am using TCPDF to create PDF files (obviously). Everything was fine, but now I'm trying to create a PDF file with the symbol "đ" (which, obviously, is an slovic symbol).

The data is generated by users, so I won’t know if they plan to use these types of characters or not - so I decided to use UTF-8. But apparently this is not so.

The PDF is being created, but it is completely blank / white.

Here is my code:

I found this answer , but switching to this did not work either:

$pdf = new XTCPDF('P', PDF_UNIT, 'Letter', false, 'ISO-8859-1', false);

My pieces of data (username, address ... etc.) are currently wrapped as follows:

trim(mb_convert_encoding($myHtml, "HTML-ENTITIES", "UTF-8"))

Questions:

What can I change to do it like this:

In version 6.2.8, I changed only the first example by adding the đ symbol, and everything seems to be working fine. This is the code:
