In my post here, I mentioned a problem with a link to a custom URL sent via email. I circumvented this problem by sending a link to a web page, which then redirected to a custom URL protocol (presumably the problem with sending a direct link was that Gmail (and possibly other vendors) saw my protocol as "unsafe", and, therefore, remove it from the email).
This is fine and dandy, with the exception of IE8 (I'm not sure about IE7). If I go to this page in FF3 and Chrome, it will open my program, as you would expect. In IE8, I just get the error "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page." Does anyone know why IE8 will not offer me to run the program?
