I have an Office add-in for the taskbar ( https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/fp123523.aspx ) on a registered Office 365 site. When a user opens a spreadsheet from the document library on this site, in In edit mode, you can use the "Office Add-in" from the "Insert" menu to paste my add-in into the spreadsheet. My add-in helps people and update data in a spreadsheet. Then they save the table with the updated data.
Now, the next time they open this table, my taskbar will appear again. Does the taskbar cannot open? I would like the user to explicitly open the ribbon bar.
Also, when they download and transfer the spreadsheet to someone else, and that person opens the spreadsheet using Excel 2013, the add-in appears again (they are asked if they want to run the add-in)
In my case, I never want the user to have access to this taskbar add-in from the Excel desktop. Therefore, I am going to turn off the page when I can determine its operation on the desktop. However, I would like the add-in window to close. Is there any way to do this?
The best way to understand the functionality of my add-in is that it looks like a TFS add-in in Excel. The goal is to populate and retrieve data. After filling in the data in the spreadsheet, you do not want the add-in to still be open. In fact, someone without a TFS add-in can open the spreadsheet, and it all works. Unfortunately, we cannot create tape add-ons such as TFS using Office Online technology. The taskbar will suffice, but it seems too sticky.
