Xcode + PDF image color looks darker in simulator / device (color space problem)

I know this is not a new problem, and I spent a whole day (literally) researching. I am using the latest Xcode 6 and I am trying to use all PDF files as vector art resources. However, when I export these images from Illustrator to sRGB (sRGB IEC61966-2.1), these images are noticeably darker than if I were using a png file.

Some of the previous proposed solutions: setting the color profile of the Illustrator file to "web" and choosing the color space "RGB", as well as exporting to pdf using Illustrator, converting the color space to "sRGB IEC61996-2.1". The latter worked for me for one of the images ... And today, when I tried the same thing, it did not work!

So, I tried all the other solutions, repeated, restarted, tried to use different programs, renamed resources, cleaned the project ... Nothing worked! The colors still look darker on the screen, and the old PDF icon I made looked perfect!

PDF looks great in any other viewer, including Xcode itself. When Xcode compiles, the images break (PNG files are generated, but something is wrong in their color space).

It drives me crazy ... Does anyone else have such a problem?

Depending on the screen, you may say that the center button is slightly lighter than the other two icons. I crossed two to show how distinguishable it is. But on my MacBook Air they seem the same. Perhaps this is due to the fact that people say that Apple takes into account the compilation of the color space of the machine? On my iPhone and MacBook, they look completely different.

Refresh . If I change my MacBook Air profile → color profile to sRGB, I can clearly tell the difference. I am trying to import a PDF, and maybe the conversion will be correct. Will be updated.

I had huge problems with this. And I finally figured it out.

  • Apple sRGB iOS. pdf ( ) sRGB. Illustrator → new → profile = "web", = "RGB" → PDF → ( ) sRGB. . ... , . , .

  • ! RGB, RGB, , Illustrator. , ... , PDF , Illustrator , , .
