Problem with toolbar interpolation using Android Design Support Library

Question

Following the image of liuguangqiang and even Chris Bane cheesesquare samples for the Android Design support library, there seems to be a problem in the toolbar spacing, as in the image.

As you can see, I have closely followed Chris Ben's example. However, this question only exists on Lollipop, while it works fine on pre Lollipop.

Does anyone experience the same problem or know about a possible fix?
