FullCalendar full-text title not displaying correctly

Please check out the webpage I am doing on https://preview.c9.io/tomheaps/enharmonic/Website/enharmonic_calendar.html?_c9_id=livepreview2&_c9_host=https://ide.c9.io which has a built-in calendar Google developed using the jQuery FullCalendar plugin.

As you will see, when you click on the month view, the heading does not display properly with some strange characters between the two dates and shows "1st - 7th June 2015" instead of "1-7th June 2015" for example.

I'm not sure if this is happening because I use Open Sans as a font for this header and does not contain a glyph that is automatically inserted into javascript?

Can anyone think of a workaround for this that allows me to use Open Sans?

Tom, make sure you serve your HTML as UTF-8: header ("Content-Type: text / html; charset = utf-8");

Include the tag below to the right after the html tag.

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
