Integrate HipChat in Slack

Question

At my company we use Hipchat, and I really dislike UX and prefer to use Slack UX.

Is there a way to integrate Slack (or a similar client) with Hipchat so that I can chat in my Hipchat rooms without using Hipchat?

I did not use it personally, but I heard well about Sameroom . I believe the idea is that it acts like a channel, so conversations can go through several platforms. This may require your company to create an account, and I understand that this is not what they want to do, but I hope this indicates that you are in a convenient direction to use.
