Android app version is too big

Question

I accidentally published an APK with a very large version code. those. MAX is an integer value.

Now I can not publish more versions of my application, because there is no greater number for my version.

How can I solve this problem? Is my only option to publish this as a brand new standalone application?

I would advise going to the Play Store console and going to the following places:

APK tab → Switch to advanced mode → Other APKs → select the one you want and click “Move to Production” .
