I am trying to create this simple ZeroMQ server in C ++ on Visual Studio 2013.
#include "stdafx.h"
#include "zmq.hpp"
#include <string>
#include <iostream>
#include <windows.h>
using namespace std;
int _tmain(int argc, _TCHAR* argv[])
{
zmq::context_t ctx(1);
zmq::socket_t sckt(ctx, ZMQ_REP);
sckt.bind("tcp://*:5555");
while (true) {
zmq::message_t request;
sckt.recv(&request);
std::cout << "Received Hello" << endl;
Sleep(1);
zmq::message_t reply(5);
memcpy((void*)reply.data(), "World", 5);
sckt.send(reply);
}
return EXIT_SUCCESS;
}
However, I get LNK2019 error when I try to build a VS project. The following is the compiler output:

I installed ZeroMQ binary v4.0.4 and updated the properties of the VS project to point out the include and lib paths of ZeroMQ. In particular, this is what I updated in the project properties (I suspect that some of these options may be redundant):
- Configuration Properties> VC ++ Directories> Include Directories: Added '$ (ZEROMQ_HOME) \ include'
- Configuration Properties> VC ++ Directories> Library Directories: Added '$ (ZEROMQ_HOME) \ lib'
- > C/++ > > : '$ (ZEROMQ_HOME)\include'
- > > > : 'libzmq-v120-mt-4_0_4.lib; libzmq-v120-mt-gd-4_0_4.lib'
