Grails + Mongo: GORM mysteriously thinks that the object referenced by the inline field has a modified property

I have a domain class called Formthat has an inline field with a uniontype name that is inline Organization. Organizationhas a field createdByUser. The user has a Organizationtype field Organizationadded by the AST transformation.

So, whenever I try to save an object Form, it tries to change the user’s link to createdByUserthe organization identifier 1for mysterious reasons.
