What does “? Fref = jewel” mean in the facebook url?

I had several requests from friends on facebook from profiles whose links end in "? Fref = jewel". All links had this final term in the URL. Some of the profiles were probably fake. Can someone tell me what fref = jewel means?

It just means that the user clicked on the notification in the “jewel” notification (this is what FB calls thingie in the top navigation bar where the notifications are displayed) to get to this address ...

This is just a tracking option.

Yes. This basically means that the ip address of the same acoount, carrying the same person. there is a high probability of a / c fake.
