Fuzzy Search API Search

Azure search api offers a fuzzy parameter for offers. eg:

https://blssuggestions.search.windows.net/indexes/cities/docs/suggest?api-version=2015-02-28&suggesterName=default&fuzzy=true&search=berlen

I would return “Berlin” as a result of berlin.

I can’t find the documentation about this, how to activate it in a normal search setting there fuzzy = true, it seems nothing changes

https://blssuggestions.search.windows.net/indexes/cities/docs?api-version=2015-02-28&search=berlen&fuzzy=true

[Refresh]: See another answer to the question of how to use querytype = full, as this answer is no longer correct.

It is right. Fuzzy search is only available in api sentences.

You need to call:

https://blssuggestions.search.windows.net/indexes/cities/docs/suggest?api-version=2015-02-28&suggesterName=default&queryType=full&search=berlen~

You lacked querytype = full and the tilde after the character you want to perform a fuzzy search.

api:

https://{yourSite}.search.windows.net/indexes/{yourIndex}/docs?search={fieldToSearch}:{lookupValue}~&queryType=Full&api-version=2015-02-28-preview
