Git integrates all the time

The programmer on my team has a very strange problem with a specific Git repository.

He is the only user making changes to the repo, but each time he clicks, Git will do the merge message, not the actual commit message!

At some point, he started doing "playMakerTest", and he never recovered from it. Every single battle that he now does, and ultimately pushes the merger. Even after a thorough check, reloading the last commit, shifting everything back to the master and getting rid of all other branches.

Has anyone understood why this is happening? I'm really on the verge of creating a new repo ...
