SendGrid: free plan vs Lite?

Question

I want to dive into SendGrid (GoDaddy SMTP is sh * ty).

But I do not understand the difference between the Free and Lite plan.

Of course, the Lite plan is really cheap, but it seems to have fewer features than the free plan, which is ... free.

At first I told myself that a free plan is a test (with limited time). But the website says: "No credit card needed, no expiration."

So why would anyone prefer Lite to be released?

Bonus question: The only function I need is something like "Send Folder", so I can be sure that all emails are sent. Do both plans have this?
