Running R / RStudio on Windows 10

I have been using R / RStudio for several months on Windows 7 and 8. Now I received an invitation to upgrade from Microsoft, but at the same time I heard that there were serious compatibility issues between ancient versions of Windows and Windows 10. I need to know if it is possible to run R / RStudio on Windows 10 without serious problems.

I personally tried to run R and Rstudio with Windows without problems (for now). Needless to say, I am on a separate installation, where my working computer is Windows 10 and my home is Windows 7. However, I find myself using my Windows 7 OS due to familiarity (with the GUI) and potential problems compatibility (which I might not know about at the moment). I think this is my personal trick, but, like in all the "new" OS, expect disappointment.

I am currently running R / Rstudio on Windows 10 at home. I haven't hit any snags yet. I would not be in a hurry to deploy in an Enterprise environment, but, as far as I can tell, it seems stable enough when R. is running.

Plus, you get Cortana (which, judging by the name, sounds a little deeper than Siri, but it's Windows in the end)

I installed Win 10 on my laptop (i7, 16g Ram) last week, and it still works fine with R studio. My desktop computer is almost the same as my laptop, but I save it with Win 8.1 for now.

I ran R and RStudio on Windows 10 (both in home and in Pro editions), while I was not fussing.

I also worked with R and Rstudio in windows 7 and 8. However, Rstudio stopped working after upgrading to Windows 10. R still works accordingly. Thus, you can expect problems or problems after upgrading to Windows 10. Try holding down the control key when starting Studio R.
