How to check the size of the solr index for each field

Is there a way to check the size of the solr index for each field?

We have a large index size of 170G, and we want to find out which field fills the size of the index.

Change your schema.xml

Here is a tactic you can use to minimize the size of your index:

1) Disable the "Vector Vector" if you are not using the backlight or other functions that rely on it

• termVectors = "false"

• termPositions = "false"

• termOffsets = "false"

2) Turn on the omit norms if you are not using Boosts:

• omitNorms = "true"

3) Only the index fields you are looking for . As you mentioned above, you do not need to index all your fields

From what I saw, the term vectors and missing rates can be a significant percentage of your index ~ 50%

You can also analyze your indices with Luke. Luke ships with DSE, so you can access it from a browser by clicking:

http: //: 8983 / solr /./ admin / luke? & numTerms = 0
