MDI window name in Windows 10

I am testing Delphi applications on Windows 10, and I was intrigued by the difference in rendering window frames in MDI formats.

Is that an intention?

I assume that you are talking about the minimize, maximize and close buttons at the right end of the inscription panel.

These buttons are displayed by the system, not Delphi, and the behavior is the same as intended. Microsoft abandoned MDI at least 15 years ago, and so it’s not at all surprising that they did not change it to fit the new Windows 10 style.

So, yes, what you are observing is to be expected, and how Microsoft intends to display the non-client area of MDI children.
