ERROR: attempt to select annotation that has not been added

Question

[mapView selectAnnotation:firstAnnotation animated:YES]; 

After debugging this line, type below

ERROR: attempt to select annotation that has not been added

Also viewForAnnotation is not called.

What is the problem?
