Adding a Sidebar Icon to the FinderSync Extension

I am developing a FinderSync extension based on the following documentation:

I cannot add a sidebar icon.

I followed these steps: I created the .iconset folder and filled it with the requested PNG s. Added folder for my info.plist etc.

But I do not see the icons on the sidebar in my controlled folders.

The context menu, toolbar button and icons work fine.

What can i skip? Are there any restrictions that the documentation does not mention? Anything complicated with step 4?

Obviously, it’s really important to comply with Apple’s icon restrictions: they must be

"monochrome images that are drawn using only black and transparency"

To my surprise, when the designer gave me a png that matched the above, everything worked like a charm.

Please comment if you encounter other difficulties, as the documentation is sorely lacking.
