Using the Coldfusion 9 Cold Chamber.
I tested this with the form-post parameter and the url parameter. In both cases, I send the line:
Ä Ä Ä Ç Ç Ç É Ë Ë Í Î Ï Ñ Ò Ò Ò ß ß ß ß ß ß ß ß ß ß ß ß ß ß ß ß
, and in both cases, I immediately reset the browser login, which now looks like this:
"ÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃ Ã ÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃ
.
The meta tag has: charset=utf-8and I also tried charset=iso-8859-1.
It does not matter.
GetLocale() = en_IE
GetEncoding("url") = UTF-8
GetEncoding("form") = UTF-8
Now, the interesting thing is that I built a simple CF page on the same server, but outside the Coldbox framework, and the characters are displayed correctly after the form / url message.
Coldbox url RequestCollection (RC). RC form/url, .
, Coldbox "" url/form "" RC.
