I have 3 groups of topics: Setup Group Thread, a group of a 2nd group (which has an HTTP request that performs a file download), a group of a 3rd group as part of a single test plan. Number of threads = 3 for each. The Run sequential check box is not selected in the test plan.
The Setup thread group contains all the required queries that must be completed before group 2 and group 3. The Setup thread group (with several https requests) writes some authentication tokens to 2 different csv files, which will then be used by the other 2 groups of threads, respectively, when they are executed in parallel at a later point in time. Thus, csv file1 will be used by Thread Group 2, and csv file2 will be used by the 3rd topic group.
First, execution of the installation thread group is performed. Then, thread group 2 and 3rd thread group are executed in parallel. Everything seems fine when all threads of the Setup Thread group receive a successful response: 200.
But when there is any erroneous answer, such as 500 in one of Thread Group Group Threading's answers, csv files get fewer records (which is good); and thread group 2 and 3rd thread group do not work in parallel. The Thread 3 group starts first. Then, after a certain period of time, the Thread 2 group is executed. What is the cause and resolution of this problem?
