I advertise the app using AdWords. It was about a month, and everything is in order, there is only one thing that I do not understand, and this is the "target CPI" (cost per installation? Although the cost-per-click is shown in brackets).
The fact is that you can change it to any given value. Google did everything possible to be extremely vague, explaining this in its terminology, so I called them. Their IT guys did not help, as they continued to give me vague answers ("oh, that should be between x and y") when I asked them what this really represents. In the end, they said they did not know, and they would have to talk to their experts.
I am currently setting it at $ 0.075. With a daily budget of $ 6.5, I get 1,000 clicks, which in my opinion is very good (compared to my other attempts at $ 1 for $ 1 and a daily budget of $ 25, where I got 1,400 clicks). But all this is relative, so I do not know how effective it is. My conversion rate is always 50% or more no matter what.
My question is, what effect will a lower CPI have? What if I bet it at $ 0.0075? It’s foolish to think that I’ll get 10,000 clicks, but even on Google they told me that they don’t know.
Please note that AdWords recommends setting it between $ 0.375 and $ 5.
