Huge size of shadow cache in visual studio

I ran into a performance issue (95-100% CPU and ram performance) in visual studio 2013.
I recently noticed that the size of shadowcache

(C: \ Users \% UserName% \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ VisualStudio \ 12.0 \ Constructor \ ShadowCache)


more than 10 gb. I think the visual studio is slowing down due to high hd read / write operations. How can I get rid of it?
