How to "shade" UIVisualEffectView on iOS 8+? Or create a blurry background image with a tint?

Self-explanatory. UIVisualEffectViewonly has a light, dark and “extra light” hue. Is there a way to tint the color instead, like the hue color of an application?

UINavigationBar I think it has transparency and blur ... but also the color of the hue.

Third-party libraries are fine, but I'm not sure where to look for this.
