In RStudio, making a slide deck with RMarkdown, how can I easily change the theme?

I am writing a file .rmdin RStudio and using the Knit button to create a slide deck. I have two options: ioslides and slidy . I don't really like the default look. (I think that ioslides uses screen real estate inefficiently, and slippery feels that the graphic designer was not involved.)

I did a web search for alternative templates / styles / themes and came across pages like this gallery , but the tools there seem to be used outside of RStudio as completely independent projects. In other words, these are not just the topics that I have, but all the other solutions that change my workflow.

Is there an easy way to tell RStudio to use a different template / theme with ioslides or slidy? For example, is it possible to upload a CSS file somewhere and point RStudio to it with an option css:in the header of yamlmy file .rmd? If so, is there a gallery of such CSS templates?

Here is what I ended up doing. It's not as smooth as we would like, but it's decent. I am happy to receive the best answers.

  • Download any style file associated with this knitrBootstrap code in the same folder as the R Markdown file.
  • , URL- http:, knitr , (), .
  • , (|) URL-, knitr ( ). ( .)
  • , url('../fonts/***.eot');, , url('https://netdna.boostrapcdn.com/bootswatch/3.0.0/fonts/***.eot');.
  • R Markdown css: YAML.
