An exception occurred while receiving javadoc: Unknown javadoc format

I am working on a Minecraft plugin in Eclipse and the javadoc for the hub suddenly stops working. If I hover over the soldering method, I get the error indicated in the header. Java internal methods render javadoc just fine, and so any methods in my classes for which I added javadoc. The location of javadoc in soldering is set to https://hub.spigotmc.org/javadocs/bukkit/ , which loads fine and only checks for a fine.

After a little research, I found that this problem is usually caused by unrelated or non-JDK links in Windows -> Settings -> Java -> Installed JREs. I uninstalled all java JDKs and JREs on my system, installed the latest 8u77 JDK and added it to the installed JREs. This is the only thing indicated and noted. The path is C: \ Program Files \ Java \ jdk1.8.0_77, which is my only JDK installation. I even tried installing the latest version of Eclipse Mars 2 in a different folder and working on my workspace. Not sure what to do next.
