Ubuntu certifies its cloud image as ami-f95ef58a and is available as an AMI community in the eu-west-1 region. See Ubuntu Documentation here
Centos, on the other hand, publishes the official AMI in the AWS Marketplace at a cost of zero. See Centos documentation here .
In both cases there is no charge.
So, am I not confused by the difference that Amazon intends to take care of the Community and the Marketplace?
