Continue to receive the message "Bot profile photos must be PNG and less than 30kB" when creating a new bot

I am trying to add a Skype channel to my bot as part of a bot.

I followed the instructions and completed the following two steps: 1. Open the Microsoft Developer Portal and create a new application. Pay attention to your application identifier. 2. Click "Generate Password" to get the application secret.

Now I'm stuck in the third step: 3. Log in to the Skype Bot portal using your Microsoft account, click "My bots" and register a new bot using your application ID. https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/skype/bots

In fact, I have a logo that matches the criteria, but it still causes the error message "Bot profile photos must be PNG and less than 30 KB", so I can not create a skip bot. Does anyone have a similar experience?

Received the same issue. In my case, it helped to convert the image from RGBA to RGB.

This can be done, for example, using the Imagemagick convert utility:

# Okay, your icon is in RGBA
$ file logo.png
logo.png: PNG image data, 150 x 150, 8-bit/color RGBA, non-interlaced

# Convert it
$ convert logo.png +matte logo-rgb.png

# And it in RGB
$ file logo-rgb.png
logo-rgb.png: PNG image data, 150 x 150, 8-bit colormap, non-interlaced

I had the same problem. I did "save for network" in Photoshop and selected "preset: PNG-24"

This fixed it for me.
