Drawing 140 thousand points in leaflets

I am new to leafletjs. For some time I worked on cesium, and now we are trying to make leaflets. The main reason for switching is to see if there is a huge difference in performance.

In cesium I had a collection of primitive points that I built. What is the most effective way to build 140 thousand points in leaflets? Using markers or creating separate small circles?

I also think about using the clustering plugin ( http://leafletjs.com/2012/08/20/guest-post-markerclusterer-0-1-released.html ), so please share your thoughts on performance.

You have 2 common options:

• Display your points on the canvas, for example, using Circle Markers and make them render on the canvas instead of SVG (see also the MaskCanvas Flyer plugin ). Circle markers, even on canvas, still emit events, so you can detect "click", etc.
