Suppose I have a Sitecore A site and an external site B. They use completely different top domains. And both use HTTP protocols.
I added FXM from site A to site B.
Set up goal C, which will be launched when the user visits site B. On site A, when launching goal C, display D on the website’s home page.
My question is if the user visits site A and site B in the same browser. Should the user see D when they update site A after visiting site B?
I checked this : D is not displayed. But I'm not sure that Sitecore does not support it, or I configured it incorrectly.
This mainly happens if Sitecore can track the same visitor in different domains (see below)
Could not find relevant information in Sitecore docs, mostly they only speak on external sites.
Thanks in advance!
----------------- Some updates -------------------
I found that the cookie "sc_ext_contact" in the domain "Site B" and "SC_ANALYTICS_GLOBAL_COOKIE" in the domain "Site A" have the same value. So Sitecore can identify the same visitor, and the goal that runs on the external site is not used on site A?
I also verified that if target C is used to determine the setting for E displayed on site B. When site B is visited, E is displayed on site B.
